A Melbourne vet says volunteer wildlife rescuers are at their wits’ end about new developments landlocking kangaroo mobs.

An extension of O’Herns Road has recently opened in Epping, leaving a mob of 40 roos divided on either side of the road.

Operations Manager at Vets for Compassion, Nicole de Haan, says kangaroos are being hit daily and it’s “absolute chaos”, but it’s “a very, very common” situation.
