A special rapid-fire graffiti response team is working around the clock in a bid to clean up Melbourne’s CBD.

A new contractor will see 24-hour, daily street cleaning, graffiti removal and pressure washing in a bid to spruce up buildings and streets.

Acting Lord Mayor Nicholas Reece says Melbourne’s famed graffiti art won’t be touched, and it’s more about the “tagging”.
