‘Pop culture icon’ Raquel Welch dead at 82

Former actress and screen siren Raquel Welch has died after a brief illness.

Family members told entertainment site TMZ the 82-year-old passed away on Wednesday morning.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford says the actress had a “unique sort of fame”.
