Homes and businesses in Melbourne’s outer south-east will be disconnected by the end of the month, if they haven’t switched to the National Broadband Network.

The Head of NBN Local in Victoria and Tasmania Ebony Aitken said Pakenham’s cut off date is January 19.

“We’re looking at around 16,000 odd premises around Pakenham which will now have access to the NBN,” she said.

“If people haven’t migrated from that ADSL, it’ll basically be disconnected.

“Roughly around 75 per cent of people have switched over.”
