Advanced drink-driving prevention technology in cars to hit Australia soon
Advanced drink-driving prevention technology in cars will all but certainly hit Australian shores soon, researchers say.
It comes after Congress in the United States passed a massive infrastructure bill that will mandate it from car manufacturers.
Associate Professor Michael Fitzharris, Monash University Accident Research Centre, said a time would come when cars didn’t start without drivers proving they weren’t impaired in some form.
“We’re certainly moving that way, Tom, where we are going to have a whole range of technologies,” he said.
