Advocates use ‘ageism awareness day’ to call for action

Advocates for ageing Australians have used “ageism awareness day” to call on the Federal Government to launch a productivity commission inquiry into the overarching costs of the issue.

Ian Yates, Chief Executive of COTA (Councils on the Ageing), told Tom Elliott ageism and age discrimination were both “very real” phenomena in society.
