AEC provides update on early + postal referendum voting

The Australian Electoral Commission has provided an update on postal and early voting as well as reports on multiple ballots.

AEC Spokesperson, Evan Erkin Smyth, says they expect around 50 per cent of votes to come through postal and early voting.

“It’s been going up from event to event, so millions of people will come through the doors in the next two weeks,” he told Neil Mitchell.

He also revealed the AEC have received a small number of complaints regarding multiple ballots.

“The ones we’ve had reported to us, it’s been a multitude of errors on the voters side unfortunately,” he said.
