Afghan man arrested over New York bombings
A key suspect in the bombings in New York has been captured alive after a gun battle with police.
The 28 year old man was arrested after a shoot out with police in New Jersey.
It’s not yet clear whether he was working alone.
The 28-year-old Afghan-born man is under police guard in hospital after suffering gun shot wounds.
29 people were injured in the attack.
President Obama said police were tracking down every lead to keep residents safe.
‘We’re going to make sure everybody is working together seamlessly as one team to get to the bottom of what happened, to find those responsible and to make sure justice is done,’ he said.
