AFL boss issues (half-serious) warning to The Killers!

AFL boss Gillon McLachlan has jokingly suggested The Killers “won’t be paid” if they don’t perform their most well-known song at this year’s grand final.
The American rock band will headline this year’s pre-game entertainment, alongside Dami Im and 3AW’s own Mike Brady.
Speaking with Neil Mitchell, the head of the AFL said The Killers were required to perform “Mr Brightside.”
“I can guarantee they won’t be paid (if they don’t), the league chief joked on 3AW Mornings.
On more serious matters, McLachlan said the AFL wouldn’t hesitate introducing a ban on bags being taken into grounds for security reasons.
“If that’s what the relevant police and other authorities suggest – we’d do it, clearly,” he said.
