AFL CEO not budging on terms for new Tasmania stadium despite $200m cost blowout

The plans for the new Tasmanian Stadium at Macquarie Point in Hobart continue to take a hit, with the cost of the project blowing out to $1 billion.
On 3AW Mornings earlier in the week, AFL CEO Andrew Dillon was questioned on whether the Tasmania Devils team will go ahead if the stadium isn’t built.
“The license that has been granted is conditional on a stadium with a roof at Macquarie Point with a capacity of at least 23,000,” Dillon said on 3AW Football.
