Fan injury prompts AFL club to change half-time plans
Melbourne looks set to pull the pin on a popular half-time entertainment challenge after a fan was injured on the MCG turf.
The incident happened on Anzac Day eve.
Hosted by former Melbourne high-flyer Russell Robertson, a handful of fans are chosen to try and a take a “hanger” on a marking bag on the ground at half-time.
A man fell heavily while participating in the challenge on April 24.
The Demons haven’t had a home game since that night, however, 3AW Breakfast understands the club is poised to scrap the segment from now on.
