AFL comes under fire over deleted social media post

A since-deleted social media post on an official AFL account caused uproar earlier on Tuesday.

The league’s AFL Fantasy X page congratulated this week’s highest scoring team, which was named ‘From The Rivers To The Sea’, a slogan usually associated with Palestine supporters.

It comes on the back of a controversial fortnight for the AFL’s administration, which has seen them in the spotlight for the handling of Willie Rioli’s on-field comments and Lachie Schultz’s concussion.
