AFL media issued with betting bans
The AFL media has been officially issued with betting restrictions.
The league released its finalised policy on Tuesday, which will commence from the start of the NAB Challenge until the end of the finals.
The AFL has banned accredited media from betting two hours before, and during, a match that person is attending for work purposes.
‘The ban has been introduced to help protect against the potential misuse of information,’ the AFL said.
Members of the media are still able to bet on games they are covering, outside the five-hour window.
