AFL rejects priority pick requests from Carlton and the Brisbane Lions
The AFL has rejected Carlton and Brisbane’s applications for a priority pick.
The two battling clubs won’t be receiving an extra pick in this year’s draft.
The AFL Commission ruled that while both clubs were ‘at the bottom’ of the ladder, neither suffered from ‘exceptional circumstances’ that warranted assistance.
The Blues currently have the first pick in the upcoming draft, while the Lions have the second selection.
