AFL set to review free agency compensation

The AFL admits it’s time to review its free agency compensation system.

League operations boss Mark Evans told 3AW the system was all but certain to be looked at this summer.

‘I think we will,’ Evans said on Sports Today.

‘Free agency has only been in for a few years (but) every club has received a free agent of some type ? even if it’s a delisted free agent.

‘It’s probably an opportune time after three of four years to have a look at it.’
