AFL Women’s star Erin Phillips is happy to be a driver for change.

The Adelaide midfielder, who won the league’s Best and Fairest award in the first AFLW season, got the nation talking after sharing a celebratory kiss with her wife, Tracy.

But Phillips doesn’t see why it’s a big deal.

Phillips told 3AW Football the issue isn’t spoken about at all when she is in the USA playing in the WNBA.

‘It’s really just unbelievable that we’re still discussing same-sex marriage in this day and age,’ Phillips said.

‘It’s 2017.’

Phillips said she’s happy to have an influence just by living her life.
