African youths point fake gun at drivers in Melbourne’s west
A woman has described the frightening experience of having what she believed to be a rifle, pointed at her as she drove in Melbourne’s west.
Penny told Tom Elliott she was driving down Pascoe Vale Road this afternoon when she saw two young men in the car ahead of her pointing a gun at other drivers.
“The passengers had what looked like a rifle that they were pointing to the vehicles,” Penny said.
“And then they leaned over the back and pointed the rifle at me.
“They were of an African appearance and young adults I would say.”
Penny said she then saw a “large number” of unmarked police cars swoop on the vehicle.
