After five weeks of replacement buses, the trains are back on the Frankston line.

The level crossings at McKinnon, Bentleigh and Ormond have been removed.

The new below-ground McKinnon Station is also taking passengers.

Transport Minister Jacinta Allan says the other two will come later.

‘During the later part of August, over the coming weeks. The two brand new stations at Ormond and Bentleigh will also be opening.’

‘We didn’t want to delay the opening of McKinnon station to wait for those other two, which is why the trains are back.’ – Minister Allan told 3AW News.
