Alarming jump in the number of Victorians turning to Foodbank
There’s been a concerning rise in the number of Victorians turning to Foodbank for help feeding their families.
CEO of Foodbank Victoria, Dave McNamara, told 3AW Breakfast “it’s not just a spike, it’s continuing to grow”, and it’s predominantly working families who are coming through Foodbank’s doors.
“I think it’s Iran related and it’s also the interest rate rise related, and the cost of food is going up as well,” he said.
