Alarming surge in deadly skin cancers expected in Victoria over the next decade
Diagnoses of potentially deadly skin cancers are expected to surge by up to a whopping 69 per cent in Victoria over the next decade, an alarming new Victorian Cancer Registry report reveals.
Head of SunSmart at the Cancer Council Victoria, Emma Glassenbury, says Victorians need to be vigilant from the end of August to the end of April, when UV levels typically rise above three.
“It’s important to slip, slop, slap, seek and slide all the time,” she told Jimmy and Marko, filling in for Ross and Russel.
