Albert Park restaurant targeted overnight in suspicious attack

An abandoned Albert Park entertainment venue has been targeted in what police believe is a suspicious attack.

Smoke was spotted coming from The Point restaurant at around 3:30am on Friday morning.

“The alfresco area is known to have rough sleepers camp there quite regularly,” 3AW Police reporter Madelaine Burke told 3AW Breakfast.

As reported by 3AW Drive’s Jacqui Felgate earlier this week, the restaurant has been closed and in a state of disrepair for years.
