Alfred Hospital nurse along with her colleagues gathered donations for the Smith Family

A registered nurse, along with her colleagues, has helped gather donations for charity.

Matilda Hamann tells 3AW’s Nick McCallum she convinced staff at The Alfred Hospital to gather toys and books for The Smith Family.

‘We had donations from doctors, nurses, physios? It’s great!’

‘It was really lovely to see how many gifts they (Smith Family) had accumulated already!’ she tells 3AW Drive.

Matilda wants to make it a yearly tradition, ‘Hopefully as the years go on it gets bigger and bigger!’
