Alleged Bourke Street killer declares himself ‘the saviour’ in court, pleads not guilty
Accused Bourke Street killer Dimitrious Gargasoulas has appeared in court, describing himself as ‘the saviour’ while declaring himself not guilty.
27-year-old Gargasoulas appeared via video link from jail, his first appearance since the January 20 rampage that left six dead and dozens more seriously injured.
A smiling Gargasoulas declared to the magistrate he was the saviour and that ‘all law is illegal.’
In his continuing rant he maintained the ‘Muslim faith is the correct faith according to the whole world.’
Gargasoulas has been charged with six counts of murder.
At the time of the Bourke Street tragedy Gargasoulas was out on bail.
The case returns to court in May.
