Altercation leads to shots being fired in Melbourne’s north overnight

Shots have been fired in Melbourne’s north overnight.

Investigators have been told an altercation occurred between two men at the intersection of Longford and Norval crescents in Coolaroo around 10:30pm last night.

One of the men has fired numerous shots at the alleged victim, with a 31-year-old man fortunately escaping without injury and reported the incident to police.

Detectives believe the incident was a targeted attack.

Witnesses, particularly anyone with CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage are being urged to come forward.
