‘Altercation’ sparks police operation at Hoppers Crossing

A person has been taken to hospital, a man arrested and a primary school briefly placed in lockdown after an ugly incident at Hoppers Crossing.

3AW Afternoons was alerted to the situation on Monday.

Police have since confirmed a 24-year-old man was arrested.

It’s alleged “a number” of people were involved in an altercation on Bellbridge Drive about 11.30am.

One person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A local primary school was placed into lockdown as a precaution for a short time.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined.
