Ambulance struck by semi-trailer on Monash Freeway

Ross and Russel

An ambulance has been hit by a vehicle at the scene of a crash on the Monash Freeway.

The incident happened near ramp to Eastlink in Dandenong North at just after 6am on Monday.

Two people have minor injuries, it’s not yet clear if they were from the initial crash or the subsequent collision with the ambulance.

Caller to 3AW Tyson has told Ross and John the traffic is still getting through.

‘They’re starting to let cars through,’ he said on 3AW Breakfast.

‘It’s actually a semi-trailer that has gone into the back of an ambulance.’
