Ambulance on its side, paramedics in hospital after North Melbourne collision

An ambulance has tipped on its side in North Melbourne.

It appears a second car was also involved.

Two paramedics have been taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Another person was treated at the scene but they were not transported to hospital.

There were no patients aboard the ambulance at the time of the collision.

The cause of the accident is not yet known.

Emergency services including firefighters and police are at the scene.

Peel Street is closed northbound at Victoria Street.
