Ambulance union says government should have acted sooner on Triple Zero crisis

Ambulance Union boss Danny Hill says it is possible the deaths of 33 Victorians could have been prevented if the Andrews government had listened to funding concerns for Triple Zero.
The deaths have been linked to delays within the ESTA call centre between December 2020 and May 2022, with an independent review finding the government was aware of ESTA’s financial position as early as 2015.
Mr Hill told Neil Mitchell there is a chance the deaths could have been avoided, if the government acted sooner.
