Ambulance Union secretary speaks out after ‘damning result’ in vote of no confidence

Secretary of the Ambulance Union, Danny Hill, has spoken out after 97.8 per cent of its members voted to endorse the NO confidence motion in the Ambulance Victoria executives.

Mr Hill told Jacqui Felgate Ambulance Victoria is an “emergency service, and it’s got to be run like an emergency service”.

“It’s a damning result.”

It comes as over 100 paramedics rallied outside Health Minister Mary-Anne Thomas’ office today.

The organiser of the rally, Ward, said the main aim was to alert the health minister of how “serious” the situation is.

“The health system and the ambulance system are really in dire straits at the moment,” Ward said.
