Ambulance Victoria facing ‘challenging’ ramping issue

Ambulance transfer times are double what they should be, with the average patient waiting for 80 minutes before they enter the emergency room, says Ambulance Victoria.

Anthony Carlyon, Executive Director of Clinical Operations at Ambulance Victoria, says the issue is not a “quick fix” as it concerns the entire health system.

It’s still far more significant than it needs to be for our patients, paramedics, and the community,” he told Neil Mitchell.
