Meta has announced they will not renegotiate new deals with Australian media companies which means companies will no longer receive funding from the social media company.

Law expert and professional fellow at University of Technology Sydney, Dr Rob Nicholls, says the treasurer can designate Meta to negotiate a deal.

“And if they have to do a deal, they go through an arbitration process to work out the terms of the deal,” he told Tom Elliott.
