Mordialloc Secondary College has gained attention for its decision to remove a year 10 student after he dyed his hair to support social issues.

Education and school leadership expert, Adam Voigt, says parents and schools don’t need to go to war over school uniform policies.

“There’s a way to support causes through coloured hair if you really want to without breaking school rules and parents should be encouraging them to do that, and schools should find room for the kids to be able to support a cause if that’s what they want to do,” he told Neil Mitchell.
