An industry leader’s take on the federal government latest stance on fuel emissions
The Federal Government’s latest fuel emissions stance has caused more confusion than clarity, according to an industry leader.
Chief executive officer of the Motor Trades Association of Australia, Matthew Hobbs, told Tom Elliott the government has taken a “see-saw” approach by proposing a watered down new-vehicle emissions rule which will loosen fuel economy standards for utes and SUVs.
“Each company will do things slightly differently,” he said.
