Anderson’s body language “uninspiring”

Ian Chappell & John Emburey both think James Anderson has a lack of spirit in his bowling.

“He doesn’t inspire me as the leader of the attack,” said Chappell.

“Glenn McGrath, Dennis Lillee, guys who were leaders of the attack…when things were getting a bit flat they would inspire the thought of a wicket around the corner.”

Emburey says Anderson struggles when things don’t go his way.

“When the conditions don’t look like they will suit him, his body language suggests he isn’t up for the fight,” he said.
