LATEST: Andrea Lehane has died in hospital following horrific injuries suffered in Wednesday’s hit-run accident at Carrum Downs.

Police have since charged a Seaford boy, 17, with a string of charges including reckless conduct endangering life.

Two Carrums Downs teens, aged 16 and 15, are also assisting police with their enquiries.

A Frankston man, 18, handed himself into police on Friday evening and is also helping police.

Mother of two Andrea Lehane, 34, was struck by a mini-motorbike in the shocking incident this week.

Mrs Lehane’s heartbroken husband told 3AW on Friday his wife wouldn’t survive.

Police confirmed she died on Friday afternoon.

‘On Wednesday afternoon my family’s lives changed in an instant from a careless and avoidable accident,’ James Lehane said in a statement.

‘As a result of the impact my wife suffered unsurvivable brain damage. The team at The Alfred have done an extraordinary job but the damage has been confirmed to be too great.

‘Andy was an extraordinary wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunty, niece and friend.

‘She was very content in her life and loved and cared for her family and friends always putting them first. she will always be remembered and missed like words here could not start to explain.’

A 17-year-old Seaford boy has been charged with reckless conduct endangering life, reckless conduct endangering persons, unlicensed riding and unregistered vehicle.

He has been bailed by police to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

Police executed a number of warrants at houses in Carrum Downs, Seaford and Frankston on Friday.
