Andrew Dillon defends moving AFLW season start, Snoop Dogg and more

Andrew Dillon has defended the decision to begin the 2025 AFLW season near the end of the Men’s season.

Speaking to Tom Elliott on 3AW Mornings, he says he believes finishing the season in November is the right time.

“We work backwards from there and this will be the first time we have overlap of the seasons …  so, it’s a test for us, but what we also want to do is just give the fans some consistency,” he said.

He’s also confirmed Grand Final pre-show entertainment Snoop Dogg will perform family-friendly songs when he takes to the stage.

“Let’s have a chat after it Tom, and I think you might just be converted,” he added.
