North Melbourne skipper Andrew Swallow believes the club can still win the Premiership.

North’s season has fallen off the rails since they won the first nine matches of 2016. Indeed, their spot in the finals is still yet to be cemented, with the ninth-placed Power closing the gap to just eight points.

Swallow opened up to 3AW Sunday Football about the slump the club finds itself in.

‘The belief is still there, but it’s being tested at the moment,’ Swallow said.

‘We’ve got a few guys who are down on confidence. We’ll try to rally around them and support them.’

Swallow also said he is unsure about when players can rush behinds under pressure after Michael Firrito was penalised despite being in a tackle.
