Andy Murray has recorded the greatest comebacks of his tennis career at the Australian Open overnight.

It took the Brit until 4.05am to defeat Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis.

The match, which lasted five hours and 45 minutes, was the second-latest finish ever recorded at the Australian Open, just behind Lleyton Hewitt’s 2008 win over Marcos Baghdatis.

Press PLAY below to hear how the incredible comeback unfolded

At 35, and with a metal hip, Murray managed to recover after finding himself two sets down, going on to win in five sets.

It was the longest match in Murray’s 18-year career.
