Anger as teen criminal reportedly gets preferential treatment to curb bad behaviour
Staff at the Melbourne Youth Justice centre are being criticised for giving a teen criminal preferential treatment.
The Herald Sun has reported the young man was offered top-shelf food in order to curb his bad behaviour.
Other inmates at the Parkville facility are believed to be making trouble after hearing what happened.
Shadow spokesperson Georgie Crozier has called on the Premier to take action.
‘It’s not a holiday camp and the law of Victoria should be upheld,’ she said.
‘Clearly, this is not happening when young, violent, offenders are getting special treatment.’
