Angry girlfriend, 21, whacks attacker on the head in neighbour brawl
A young woman has turned the tables on her boyfriend’s attacker by allegedly whacking him on the head with a pole.
The violence broke out during a dispute between neighbours at Burwood this morning.
Police were called to Malden Street shortly after midnight following reports of an assault.
They believe a Burwood man, 47, allegedly hit his male neighbour, 43, to the head with a metal pole, causing minor injuries.
It is alleged the victim’s girlfriend, 21, retaliated by snatching the pole and returning the favour.
The 47-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The exact circumstances of the incident are still being investigated.
