Angry greyhound owner takes aim at Rumour File after cheeky dog name was banned

The owner of a cheekily-named greyhound wants the Rumour File to be consistent on highlighting dog and horse names after Greyhound Racing Victoria banned his

Pistol Night will race under that name for the last time this week.

Stewards told owner Craig Davies the name must be changed after that.

It seems their email was prompted by a call to the Rumour File this week.

Mr Davies is certainly pointing his finger.

“Because of the Rumour File we’ve had to change the name of this greyhound,” he told Ross and John this morning.

“We don’t understand.”

He suggested The Rumour File should be consistent on funny names “if you’re going to carry on about this name”.
