Animal Justice MP calls for change following ‘distressing’ cattle truck crash

Last night, a truck full of cattle crashed into a bridge on Alexandra Parade in South Yarra which has resulted in the death of 22 cows.

Animal Justice Party MP Georgie Purcell joined 3AW Drive to talk about the horrific cattle truck crash in South Yarra last night.

“We need to look at the conditions and standards that animals can be transported in,” Purcell said on 3AW Drive.

“The sad reality is this is what happens to live animal transport, it is common to happen in regional areas.”

President of the Victorian Farmers’ Federation Emma Germano had her say on the devastating crash.
