Another Telstra outage, customers vent anger

Telstra customers have vented their frustration after the telco experienced its fourth major outage in the space of two months on Tuesday.
A spokesman for the company said there had been ‘intermittent voice call failures and connection delays’ on both the fixed and mobile networks.
The problems predominantly affected Victoria and Tasmania.
Telstra has since announced the issue had been resolved and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
But many customers are still reporting problems.
3AW Drive listener John told Tom Elliott the outage had cost him a $3000 business deal.
‘By the time I was able to get back in touch with the client, he’d bought elsewhere,’ he explained.
He said he’d been ‘let down’ badly by the telco.
‘My whole business runs off my mobile phone ? why wouldn’t I look elsewhere now?’ he said.
‘I pay a premium amount of money to get the best service possible and they’ve let me down.
‘I feel like they owe me the profit margin.’
