Anthony Albanese criticises former Morrison government over immigration and talks New South Wales terror attack

Anthony Albanese has promised to cut down on the rate of immigration, claiming his government inherited ‘a mess’ from the previous Morrison government.

He says the system under the previous government didn’t work properly.

“Some people [in vocational education] were coming here doing courses … to stay here for a very long period of time,” he told Tom Elliott.

“What we’re doing is putting integrity and rigor back into the system.”

He also discussed the recent terrorist attack in New South Wales which saw emergency services targeted by rioters.

“They [police] should be treated with respect, at all times,  Our police do extraordinary work,” he said.
