Anthony Koutoufides explains why he’s running in upcoming federal election

Carlton great Anthony Koutoufides has opened up on why he’s running as an independent in this year’s federal election.
Mr Koutoufides will take on Greens leader Adam Bandt in the seat of Melbourne, who has held the seat for 15 years.
Joining Jacqui Felgate in the studio, he said he’s ultimately motivated by making lasting changes to the city he loves.

“I got to live my dream of playing AFL and win a premiership,” he said on 3AW Drive.
“But if I could leave a legacy to help Melbourne go back on the right path, that would be unbelievable.”
