The anti-vaccination brigade has been blamed for a potentially deadly measles outbreak in Brunswick as health authorities warn an epidemic is possible, the Australian newspaper reports.

So Ross and John went straight to Tony Bartone from the Australian Medical Association for clarity.

Ross: Are these outbreaks happening because an insufficient number of people are vaccinated?

Dr Bartone: Absolutely.

Well, that settles that.

And what of the theory that vaccinations aren’t safe?

‘All the reasons that have been used to discredit vaccination to suggest it’s not save have been debunked, proven incorrect and totally illogical.

‘There is no scientific evidence against vaccination.’
