Arrest made over shocking alleged hit-run that killed Arthur Frangis
A man has been arrested and charged over an alleged hit-run at St Albans this week.
Arthur Frangis, 78, was walking home after volunteering at his local soccer club when he was hit and left for dead near the corner of Main Road East and Erica Avenue.
He died at the scene.
A 64-year-old Essendon man has been arrested and since been charged with dangerous driving causing death, failing to stop and failing to render assistance.
He was denied bail.
He’ll face the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
