Arrest warrant issued after CBD car chase

An arrest warrant has been issued for Sean Paul Murphy after resisting arrest in the CBD yesterday afternoon.

Murphy is accused of ramming two police cars and injuring an officer.

Police were responding to a report of a drug deal at the intersection of A’Beckett and Queen streets before the 26-year-old allegedly sped off, leading police on a short pursuit.

The suspect, believed to be Murphy, was last seen on the corner of Flinders Lane and Spencer Street getting into a taxi.
