‘As good as tanked’: Neil Mitchell’s concern over ‘irresponsible’ marathon pandemic bill debate

Tom Elliott

Victoria’s upper house politicians have been up all night debating the controversial pandemic bill.

The debate began at about 3pm yesterday and is still ongoing.

Neil Mitchell says the upper house MPs are “as good as tanked”.

“It’s the equivalent of being drunk. Sleep deprivation is the same,” the 3AW Mornings host said.

“If you’ve been 24 hours without sleep, it’s the equivalent of being .1 … double the legal limit to drive but it’s ok to run the state!,

“It’s madness, it is not the way to make decisions. It is ugly, irresponsible management.

“It’ll lead to errors we have to live with.

“When this finishes I hope nobody is allowed to drive home.”
