A great question was asked during the Ask Neil Anything segment a few weeks ago about the difference between a boat and ship.

Senior naval officer Victoria Commodore Greg Yorke has revealed the answer but says a debate could be had over the difference.

“I don’t think there is a definitive answer, but I like the definition that says a vessel that are meant to operate in coastal and in land waters are generally called boats,” he told Neil Mitchell.
